Another celebrity feud kicked f – and then abruptly ended – on Twitter this week after Dapper Laughs accused James Arthur ‘mugging f’ his friend and “trying to bang” his fiancée.
The sudden outburst came after both men visited Marbella at the same time, with singer James performing a gig for his best friend’s stag weekend.
But according to comedian Dapper, whose real name is Daniel O’Reilly, things turned sour when James apparently refused to meet Dapper’s friend.
Dapper ignited the flames when he tweeted: “Been a cracking time in Marbella! Highlight was watching that twat JamesArthur23 f hit tits forgetting the words to his own song in some shitty bar, arrogant twat mugged my mate f, your f X factor, and your face, chill out elvis”.
James wasn’t going to let that one go easily, tweeting back: “Mugged your mate f? I did a meet a greet with all 500 people that were there f my own back, how arrogant me … i did the gig as a favour DURING my best mates stag wknd … You must be bitter I didn’t recognise you from big brother when you tried to blag your way in.”
And Dapper then introduced a whole new element to the argument, accusing the X Factor winner making a move on his fiancée Shelley Rae.
“I swerved mugging you f when you DM’d my bird, trying to bang her because I respect the battle with the media you had & respect you making a living with your jaw, which Id hate to ruin. I diddnt come near you last night, my pal came to meet u and u pushed him away. Be humble,” he tweeted.
Things went further when James then said: “To be fair mate back in 2012 she could well hv got DM’d along with the rest the babestation cast but times have changed.”
But just as things were getting heated, Dapper decided enough was enough and sent an apology to the singer.
“Apologies to JamesArthur23 for yesterday’s online outburst,” he tweeted. “I know what it’s like to have people have a go at you publicly, after him taking the time to talking to me privately I realised he’s a nice bloke, should have known better then to kick & cause unnecessary negativity!”
And James accepted the apology, saying: “All good, no hard feelings. Much respect for apologising takes a big man.”
Digital Spy has reached out to their reps for comment.
So it looks like this is one celebrity row which has actually managed to resolve itself pretty smoothly – miracles do happen.
Dapper proposed to Shelley in January live on TV, just after being evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house.
