Bella Thorne has revealed that she’s pansexual during an interview on Good Morning America.
Having previously come out as bisexual three years ago, the 21-year-old said that she’s attracted to “beings”, and now feels identifying as pansexual better represents the attractions she experiences.
She explained: “I’m actually a pansexual, and I didn’t know that. Somebody explained to me really thoroughly what that is. You like beings, you like what you like.
“Doesn’t have to be a girl or a guy, or… you know, a he, a she, a they, or this or that.
“It’s literally, you like personality, like you just like a being. It doesn’t really matter what’s going on, over there. If I just like it, I like it!”
Bisexuality is where somebody is attracted to people of more than one gender – whether that’s people who are male, people who are female or people who identify outsider of gender binaries.
Pansexuality is an attraction to someone regardless of their gender identity.
Bella is reportedly dating Italian singer Benjamin Mascolo at the moment, and has previously been romantically involved with YouTuber Tana Mongeau ( Metro).
Earlier this year, Bella opened up about losing roles after coming out as bisexual, revealing: “There were a few places on the acting side that were very negative about it. There was someone who, right after I came out, cancelled my audition.”
Speaking about bisexuality and attraction to more than one gender more broadly, she added: “It’s not a gay or straight box, it’s this middle in-between world that nobody can put in a box, which makes them so mad.
“People are so mad that they can’t put it in a box, can’t explain it and can’t see how it works that they hate on it.”
