Made in Chelsea‘s Louise Thompson has called off her wedding… for now.
The reality star was set to tie the knot with fiancé Ryan Libbey in December in an intimate Christmas-themed wedding ceremony, but they’ve now decided not to “rush into anything”.
“There’s so much going on in our lives at the moment, so we want to wait until we feel really ready for it,” Louise told Celebrity Secrets.
Louise explained that the process of planning a wedding had soured her on getting married for the moment, admitting that she’d been feeling “really stressed”.
“We had a venue booked for Christmas, so of course we’ve had to cancel that,” she said. “I hadn’t bought my dress, though. I’ve had designers approach me to work on a dress, and that’s something I’ll do when the time’s right.
“That’s the easy part – finding a dress, organising the catering and finalising the guests. It’s just the bigger picture for myself and Ryan that we need to get to grips with first.”
“I’ve been crying solidly for three days,” she told OK! Magazine at the time. “It’s the most exciting thing that’s ever happened to me in my entire life.
“Ryan and I have known that we want to spend the rest of our lives together for quite a long time. I love him more and more every day, which sounds so clichéd, but it’s the truth.”
Louise has had several high-profile romances in the spotlight, having most famously documented the highs and lows of her on-off relationship with Alik Alfus on Made in Chelsea.
Earlier this year, Louise hit back at tabloid reports claiming that she was following her brother Sam in taking a break from Made in Chelsea.
Made in Chelsea airs on Mondays on E4 in the UK.
