With the Surviving R. Kelly documentary in its rearview, Lifetime is trying ahead to its subsequent venture. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cable community is presently engaged on a Salt-N-Pepa miniseries — the merely titled Salt-N-Pepa.
Produced by Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere for Flavor Unit, the sequence will element the lives Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandra “Pepa” Denton, who grew to become one the primary all-female rap teams and pushed the boundaries what Hip Hop appeared like on the time.
Both Salt and Pepa will function government producers and have licensed their music for the documentary. The similar author who penned The New Edition Story, Abdul Williams, will write the script for Salt-N-Pepa.
