Loose Women panelist Stacey Solomon has expertly hit back at a troll claiming she isn’t clever enough to go to university.
Yesterday’s (May 15) episode of the ITV daytime show saw the panel discuss whether higher education was worth it.
Stacey argued at one point that many cannot afford university, and she doesn’t “feel like any less of a person” because she didn’t go.
However, one troll responded by suggesting the star would not have been able to get into uni in the first place, implying she wasn’t smart enough.
Responding to the tweet, Stacey clapped back: “I have a national diploma equivalent to 3 As at A-level & could have gone to university, if I could afford it.
“I’m an intelligent capable human. Your opinion demonstrates a lack of education and ability to see past stereotypical traits in a human that society deems unintelligent.”
The star has since received praise on Twitter:
“I am excited, I’m almost getting a little bit sad,” she said. “You know when it’s coming to the end of something? I’ve quite enjoyed whatever this is, this moment in my life.
“I’m almost sort of missing it already, even though it hasn’t happened yet. I’m very excited. I cannot wait to faceplant my bed and sleep on my stomach!”
