Fans of Jaden Smith were treated to a surprise during his Coachella performance: a special appearance from none other than his dad Will Smith.
The young star, rocking some pink hair and a chain around his neck, was performing a song called ‘Icon’ from his 2017 debut album Syre when the former Fresh Prince popped out to take over.
Jaden captured the moment on his phone, giving fans a great view of what it’s like to be on stage in front of the huge Coachella crowd:
Will was wearing a t-shirt that reads ‘Erys is Coming’, which is the name of Jaden’s new EP that he dropped just the other day (April 19), which is a good bit of extra promo (as if performing at Coachella itself wasn’t a big enough platform).
Stars including Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz and Lewis Hamilton are among the stars who are loving the video, with Wentz saying: “This makes me so happy.”
Jaden has performed live with his dad before, with their most epic one being on The Graham Norton Show, where they performed some classic hits and brought out both DJ Jazzy Jeff and Alfonso Ribeiro, who did the iconic Carlton Dance from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
They also starred together in the films The Pursuit of Happyness, which was very good, and After Earth, which was less so.
Aladdin will be released in cinemas on May 24.
