Young Thug Associate Gets 20 Years For Lil Wayne Tour Bus Shooting

Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, aka Peewee Roscoe, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison over the April 26th incident in which he is said to have shot at two tour buses in use by Lil Wayne and his camp. Winfrey, an associate of Young Thug who worked as his tour manager, implicated Birdman in the hit attempt in testimony revealed in August, citing Wayne’s $50 million lawsuit against the his longtime benefactor as the aggravating factor. He also reportedly called a phone linked to the Cash Money boss after the shooting. So basically, your man snitched on Birdman and still ended up with 10 years in prison. Somebody didn’t think something through here if you ask me.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that Winfrey received a sentence of “20 years, including 10 to serve in prison,” so he will presumably be on parole or monitored release following his incarceration. Birdman has denied any involvement with the shooting, and expressed a desire to help find the person responsible. I imagine that since a known associate of Young Thug has now been convicted of the crime, Baby will be cutting ties with the Atlanta rapper immediately.
